Warrior parents inspire me.
A diagnosis can change everything.
It blew me into an 'exclusive' world that only those who've travelled before know about.
A mysterious world, I never knew existed. Such a scary world from the outside. Where the unknown hangs over your head, like Eyore's gloomy cloud. A constant companion, just waiting for the right moment to change once again, the course of your child's life. A world far too scary to contemplate or -gasp- to choose by choice.
But who knew that within the scary unknown live so many lovely people?!?
I've cried beside caregivers so kind and generous, that they wear their hearts on their sleeves and are willing to share their very personal and painful stories because they only wanted to enrich my life with hope.
During my ABM training in California, I was blessed to meet some amazing caregivers.
The depth of their love and commitment to their children is awe-inspiring.
They are beacons in the gloom, guiding the way towards possibilities.
They stand up for hope and are strong enough to nurture it and keep it burning for their own families, and for other families as well.
Thank you warrior parents!
